Chainlink, a prominent provider of data feeds to blockchain-based smart contracts, has introduced a new application called Transporter for facilitating and overseeing cross-chain transactions.
Built on Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, Transporter ensures enhanced security for users looking to transfer tokens across different blockchains.
The Transporter app enables users to transfer tokens across various blockchains, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, and WEMIX.
Sergey Nazarov, co-founder of Chainlink, emphasized the significance of Transporter in providing a secure means to move both value and data across chains, addressing a longstanding need in the blockchain industry.
Chainlink has also introduced a novel token transfer mechanism for CCIP, enabling the cross-chain transfer of native ETH through WETH token pools, a pioneering feature within CCIP.
Transporter offers users an intuitive user interface and 24/7 global support, along with a visual tracker for real-time monitoring of cross-chain transactions.
Users can track their assets and messages throughout the transaction process, utilizing both the Transporter app and the Chainlink CCIP Explorer for comprehensive visibility.
Importantly, the Transporter app does not impose additional fees beyond the regular CCIP fees, covering gas costs and fees paid to CCIP service providers for transaction completion.
Venture capital firms Fourth Revolution Capital and Moonrock Capital are among the early adopters of the Transporter application, signaling its promising potential in facilitating seamless cross-chain transactions.
